A cracked screen is the most common phone repair there is, and it is also where cheap work shows. A display that was not fitted and tested properly comes back as dead touch, a flickering backlight, or a Face ID that stops working. Twelve years of phone and tablet work teaches you where those failures come from.
Bring the model and we quote the screen for that specific model, because a display for an older phone and a display for a current one are different parts at very different prices. The smartphone diagnostic is $40 to $60 and is credited in full toward the repair when you approve it. We tell you before anything starts when a screen replacement is not the answer, which happens when the frame is bent or the board is damaged as well.
Based in Lemon Grove, our core service area runs about twelve miles out — a tight ring on purpose, because it is what lets us hold a same-day window and arrive when we say we will. Larger jobs further out are welcome: call and we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense.
It depends on the model and whether the display is in stock. Call with the model and we will give you a real timeline before you come in, and we confirm it once the phone is in front of us.
Face ID is tied to the original display assembly on many models, so a careless replacement can affect it. We test Face ID or Touch ID before we open the phone and again after the repair, and we tell you up front if your model has a known limitation here.
We are an independent, owner-run shop and not an Apple Authorized Service Provider, so we do not claim original Apple parts. We tell you which grade of part goes into your phone and what it costs before you approve the work.
Replacing a display does not need your data, and we do not need your passcode to do it. Testing the panel and Face ID is easier with the phone unlocked, and we do that with you present wherever it is practical.
Both change the job. A bent frame can stop a new display from seating correctly, and liquid damage can reach the board behind a screen that still looks intact. We inspect before quoting and tell you when a screen replacement will not be enough.
Every completed repair carries a 90-day warranty on the part and the work. If a display we fitted fails in that window, we put it right.
