A $95 diagnostic credited toward your repair, most mainstream repairs between $145 and $295, and the likely failed part named before you book.
Two numbers decide almost every bill: the diagnostic, which is fixed and published, and the part, which is not. Below is every problem we are called for most, the parts that usually turn out to be responsible, and how that line is priced here. Read down the middle column and you will recognise your machine.
The appliance diagnostic is $95, and it is credited in full toward the repair when you approve it. On high-end brands and on every cooling-system job the diagnostic is $145, credited the same way. Most completed appliance repairs land between $145 and $295 depending on the part required. Sealed-system and refrigerant work, built-in or panel-ready appliances, and multi-fault jobs are quoted separately after the diagnosis.
| Problem | What usually failed | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigeration | ||
| Refrigerator not cooling (freestanding) | Defrost heater or defrost thermostat, evaporator fan motor, thermistor, dirty condenser coils, start relay | $95 diagnostic, credited |
| Refrigerator not cooling (sealed system) | Refrigerant leak, failed compressor, restricted filter-drier, blocked capillary tube — EPA 608 leak detection first | $145 diagnostic, credited |
| Built-in or panel-ready refrigerator | Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Viking, Fisher & Paykel. Same failure modes, but the unit comes out of cabinetry to be worked on | $145 diagnostic, credited |
| Ice maker not making ice | Inlet valve, ice maker module, frozen fill tube, low water pressure | $95 diagnostic, credited |
| Wine cooler not cooling | Failed compressor or thermoelectric module, thermostat, condenser fan, door seal | $145 diagnostic, credited |

| Washer not draining | Drain pump, kinked or clogged drain hose, lid or door switch, control fault | $95 diagnostic, credited |
| Washer not spinning, or clothes still wet | Drive belt, clutch, motor coupling, worn suspension, lid switch | $95 diagnostic, credited |

High-end brand and cooling-system diagnostics are $145, also credited in full toward the repair when you approve it.
most completed repairs $145–$295. Sealed-system, refrigerant, built-in and multi-fault work is quoted after the diagnosis and before any work starts, because the honest answer depends on the machine and the access — and we will not invent a number to look competitive.
What moves the numberWe diagnose, then we quote. Nothing is replaced or ordered until you approve the price. The diagnostic is credited in full against the repair you approve, and if the machine is past the point where repair makes sense we will tell you that instead of taking the job.

Yes. Whatever the tier, the fee is credited in full toward the repair when you approve it. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic stands as the charge and you owe nothing further — you are never billed for a repair you did not approve.
Every cooling-system job takes the $145 tier, and so do high-end brands: those machines take longer to reach, are usually built in, and on the refrigeration side need EPA Section 608 equipment and leak detection before anyone can tell you what the repair is. Bosch takes the standard tier, not this one.
No, deliberately. A drain pump and a control board are both 'the dishwasher is broken' and they are not the same job, and a compressor on a built-in unit is a different order of magnitude from a belt. We quote those after the diagnosis rather than inventing a low number to look competitive.
Always. We diagnose, then we quote, then nothing is replaced or ordered until you approve the price. If the repair is not worth it we will say so.
Parts and labour on the repair we performed, for 90 days. If the same fault returns inside that window, we come back.
Cash, check, card, Zelle, Venmo and Cash App. Payment is taken when the repair is done, not before.
No trip fee is added on top of the diagnostic: the diagnostic is the visit. You pay it once, and it is credited in full against the repair you approve.
