The sealed system is the closed refrigerant loop that actually makes a refrigerator cold. When it leaks, no setting or reset will fix it — the leak has to be found, repaired, and the system recharged.
A sealed system diagnostic is $95 and is credited in full toward the repair when you approve it. Sealed system work is quoted before we start, after we know where the leak is — it is not a flat number, because access behind a built-in cabinet changes the job.
Based in Lemon Grove, our core service area runs about twelve miles out — a tight ring on purpose, because it is what lets us hold a same-day window and arrive when we say we will. Larger jobs further out are welcome: call and we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense.
The reliable sign is a compressor that runs continuously while the box stays warm, or one compartment that never gets cold. If the freezer works and the refrigerator section does not, a sealed system fault is likely. A $95 diagnostic confirms it before any repair is quoted.
No. Recharging a leaking system is a temporary measure that fails again within weeks. We locate and repair the leak, replace the drier, evacuate and recharge — that is what makes the repair last.
No. Handling refrigerant requires EPA Section 608 certification. Repair X holds EPA Section 608 Type 1 certification.
